Letter to Priests Priests year end

Dear Brothers

At the end of Year Priests, the Priests and the Bishop of the Diocese of Gualeguaychú, we want to first thank Jesus, Good Shepherd, for having called to lead his people to proclaim his Word, celebrating accompanying the sacraments and all that we have relied on each of the circumstances of their lives, both in their joys and their sorrows.

thank the Holy Father Benedict XVI for having proclaimed the Jubilee Year Priests aimed at deepening reflection on the gift of the priesthood to the Church and the world.

We are grateful for the prayers that have risen for us and for all displays of affection received by our brothers in faith. To you we say we love them and feel present in the daily work. That we recognize and appreciate all they do for the Church and our ministry. Also, we appreciate the respectful treatment they have always been part of those who do not share our beliefs.

Since we know that we treasure in earthen vessels (cf. 2 Cor 4.7) ask forgiveness for the times we have not lived up to the demands of our ministry and for the times I have not felt attended, including or accompanied. Therefore we again ask, humbly, pray for us to be faithful, generous and ready to be presence of Christ among you.

We say that we are happy to be priests at this time in which we live, so full of challenges and questions that trouble the human heart. We are confident in the promises of Him who called us to be at our side every day until the end of world (cf. Mt 28.20). The moves us to be happy to encourage those who are preparing to serve as priests and pray for our young people are not indifferent to Jesus' call to priesthood or religious life.

Along with Mary, our Mother of Lujan and San Juan María Vianney thank everyone for allowing us to live our lives consecrated to the Lord in the Catholic Church.

Priests and Bishop of the Diocese of Gualeguaychú.
